Hi Everyone,
I hope you and yours are all doing well!
I am a newbie to raising chickens and love all the posts and info. I have 6 Golden Sex Link chicks that are now 5 weeks old. I am trying to find more info on if a Gold Sex Link is the same as a Golden Sex Link? I know it is a cross breed. 4 of the birds all look the same and I am confident they are hens, 1 is questionable, and 1 I think will be a rooster. As a Sex Link I was told these should all be hens. Could 2 of the 4 still be hens with slightly different coloring? I am too novice to tell if feathers are pointer vs rounded and if waddles are more red or not? I guess time will tell? Any info people can share on Golden or Gold Sex Link chickens is appreciated. Birds are healthy and friendly! Enjoying them so far. Thanks!

If they are sex-linked chicks they should all be pullets if they came from a reliable breeder/hatchery. I believe that Golden (or Gold) sex-linked chickens are usually a cross between Rhode Island Reds (or New Hampshires) and White Leghorns. The cockerels would be a different color than the pullets. The pullets should be buff with a red hue and the cockerels would be white with darker wing, neck, and tail feathers.

Thank you for the additional info. I got them at 2 days old from my local Agway. I'm hopefully for all pullets!
