It’s alright I’m a first time chicken mama myselfWow! I am in the almost exact same situation! I have a GLW and a SLW, both around 5 months, and they aren't showing any signs of laying, but they are both getting pretty HUGE! Unfortunately I am completely new to this, so I have no idea!
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!
I have 2 Golden Lace that are 6 months old. Both hasn't laid and egg yet. Everything I've read says 18 weeks so idk when they will lay.I have a beautiful golden laced Wyandotte named chickpea she is about 5 months old when do golden laced Wyandotte’s start laying their eggsView attachment 2795983

That's good to hear about the wyandottes! I was just curious, I have a Rhode Island Red too, and she is 20 weeks old, bottom of the pecking order, and very slim. What did yours look like when she started laying?I also have a Rhode Island Red that lays huge eggs everyday and a Barred Rock that lays everyday.
