Question: When you went out at night to make the switch, did she wake up at all or see you? I only have chicks, so I don't know much about how adult chickens sleep.

Sex links are not suppose to go broody but she and another did this spring but I broke the other one by putting her outside and closing up the coop so she could not get in and it only took two days.

Her and the babies are outside now in a dog crate fenced in inside the chicken run, hopefully this will make the inergration easier when its time, she is a very good mama, she took them right in last night when it started gettting cold.

She took them to coop last night early and they all got on the roost the little girl next to her was so tired she went right to sleep, then mama woke her up and said nope not tonight so back to the crate she took them all.She wants to stay in the coop with the others but she is so protective of the babies I think it will be awhile.Mama was preening her feathers thats why she looks funny
