I ended up putting a piece of 1X2 on ours and that did the trick as well (for the most part). They apparently don't like as much bedding in their nest as I like to put in there, so I just let it go. They are, however, now ALL laying in the nest boxes which is great. I hope to add 4 more pullets to my flock in the spring.
