I have a 9 month old sweety of a BA that has gone broody. She was in her nest box this morning and screamed at me when I went in the coop. This afternoon she's still in there and still screaming when I go in the coop. I've never had a broody before and the only roo I have is a black silkie I just don't have the heart to part with so all the babies would be silkie crosses.

She let me reach under her and collect her eggs. She complained but didn't bite. She only had 2 in there and a golf ball. I left the golf ball.
So my question is now what? Will she continue to lay an egg every day? How long will she be broody for? Do I just let her sit on the golf ball and continue to collect her eggs if she'll let me? I just don't know what to expect and I don't want to upset her too much. Would love some insite.

If she's broody, there won't be many, if any of her eggs to collect. If you don't want her to be broody, get rid of the golf ball. She may sit in there for a month. Just give her some eggs to hatch. If you don't want the chicks after they hatch, give them away.
