So...I saw this on the BYC FB Page the other day...what an amazing idea! I already know that I love to fish, but now my girls have a new favorite hobby (and treat) for a lazy summer Sunday afternoon. I asked my son to run out & get me 2 dozen feeder fish. I figured that would be a pretty good starting point for 1 dozen hens. Yep...nuh-uh! Next time we’ll double that and get at least 4 per hen instead of two. I’m guessing that some hens caught about 4 or 5 today, while others just caught a cool drink of water!
I know this activity isn’t “original” since I took the idea from a FaceBook BYC member...but who else has done this & how did your flock like it??
