So, I just picked up 2 new babies...a Dark Brahma and Light Brahma....that I will eventually add to my other girls making a total of 12 chickens. My inside coop is 6x8 and so is their outside run. Should I have more space than that? That's a total of 96 sq ft for 12 girls. Just want to make sure that when the new girls are added this summer, there's not toooooo much chaos!

sounds like your run needs to be larger. 10 Sq Ft per bird would be 120 Sq Ft. I think I would make the run at least 120 Sq Ft, even larger if you have the space. More is better

The chickens will use what their given but the more room they have, the less fights and happier they are. And we all know:

everyone's happy!
