Hey Everybody,

Wanted to introduce myself as a new chicken owner from Southern Louisiana. My wife and I just purchased our first batch of chickens - a mix of Orpingtons, Eater Eggers, and Australorps. What started out as a joke a few years back has now become a reality. Definitely a new adventure; looking forward to making this happen. Lots of good information out there that I've been soaking up. Thanks for being so welcoming. There is, however, a question that I will be posting somewhere in another thread concerning an inherited coop in pretty bad shape. We'll see if I can get that right without blowing up my computer.

Great to meet you.- Welcome to Backyard chickens. Sometimes the best thing to do with a coop in bad shape, is to save what you can from it and build a new one.
