Hello! Been trolling around in this site incidentally long enough garnering information for small problems I've had that I figured I may as well join and interact as well.
Started out raising a variety of poultry last year around this time: cornish cross monsters, a variety of common hens (orpington, wyandotte etc) a few game birds (pheasants and chukar) and then stumbled upon the American White Bresse which I guess I fell in love with. They are my primary focus poultry wise at this time for a variety of reasons from taste to appearance.
I've had a variety of setbacks and quite a few proud moments as well, from coopers hawks dive-bombing my chicken tractors and my first homegrown poultry meal to my upcoming first batch of eggs that should be hatching next week!
My flock currently consists of 9 birds, 8 of which I have had for 8-12 months and one of which is a new rooster (old one killed by racoon). I have a few questions and things I'd love suggestions on but I'll post more on those issues in the appropriate forums.
