Good beginner incubator recommendations

I've heard the Incuview from incubator warehouse is good too and it's a little bit cheaper, built in egg turner, and plastic so easier to clean. I'm trying to decide between that and the Hovabator

My daughter got this one as a gift. I was days away from ordering a large brinsea, but once we got this we decided to give it a shot, I had low expectations for a Chinese Ebay unit.

2nd hatch in and I've gotta say, I am impressed. The instructions are worthless, but I just got a 2nd humidifier/thermometer to calibrate it with and put that inside to dial it in. If it has any longevity at all It will be a pretty great incubator.....good enough that at this early point I don't see a reason to upgrade. It has been easy to control humidity in, and the temp is rock solid steady if you keep the styrofoam shell to keep it in to help insulate.

I still have a few turners New in the box from my old hovabators . I'll have to see if they fit that model . lol I'm lazy and use the egg turners

They should fit.

You can make your own too, right? But it's probably complicated for a beginner

Incubator? Yes you certainly can...if you know what you are doing...lol and for relatively cheap.

I have heard positive things about the incuview as well. I think they are becoming more known and popular.

I've seen a lot of problems with those. My nephew bought one and regretted it. The heating unit went crazy and the humidity display was rarely accurate. With that being said, I've seen a hand few of people that liked theirs and didn't have issues.

As long as you are a ok carpenter and know alittle about electric it shouldn't be too bad .

Yeah, if you know what you doing are the key words lol

Yeah, it looks like a pretty nice

Lol just do your research first before you start building . With the internet and YouTube plus forums you can do it . I always have too many irons in the fire lol

That makes sense. I guess that's why you start with cheap eggs too haha

I'm thinking I might like to build one rather than spend almost $200

I would get a plan of what you want first . Then order and build everything to fit your needs . You can use pre existing incubator components such as heater and fan . I had some instruction / blueprints if I can find I'll share with you
