Good breed for "Just for fun" hen?

I do have Faverolles and they are very docile. Good ones are hard to find though.

Keesmom, you have a beautiful Faverolle flock. Thanks for posting the pic.)

Here are some breeds you might want to look into: Blue Splash Marans, Speckled Sussex, Jubilee Orpington, Lavender Orpington, Lemon Cuckoo Niederrheiner, Swedish Flower Hen, Cream Legbar, Blue Isbar, Orust, and Swedish Black Hen. Silver Spangled Hamburgs, Black Sumatras, and Golden Campines are also beautiful, but those are good fliers (well, at least ours are!) and might not be a good fit. Best wishes to you!

You sould consider a silkie bantam even though it is a bantam they are some of the most docile and loving chicvkens, expecially the hens.
I just worry about having one bantam in the flock. My neighbors have 3 regular chickens and 1 frizzle and the other chickens won't even let the frizzle go get water and food sometimes. :( The frizzle isn't really part of the flock. Is that unusual?

Sometimes they pick on birds that look different. I knew a flock of ducks. All the ducks were colored except for one which was white, and they picked on that duck for months before accepting it. Other colored ducks were introduced at the same time and they had no problems.

You might need to get another couple frizzles. I had that happen to might 1 royal palm with my 3 blue slates. I didn't know until it was too late.

Well since youve seen the frizzle being bossed around or bullied youve noticed that the pecking order is not totally astablished, the frizzle is probly just been introduced to the flock within about 5 or 6 months but even though the frizzle is being bosed around as of today they will evntually accept the little bantam as one of them :)

It's a valid concern. We had to separate our Silkies from our standard sized birds and move them into their own enclosure as they were taking a beating from our standard sized breeds.

Well I looked at pictures of all the breeds you guys suggested and picked out my favorite ones. Still not sure exactly which one I'll choose but I have some options now. Thanks guys! :D
