Good breeds to cross with pekins to make better layers?

In the spring, I'm looking to add to my small flock of bantam chickens, and I was thinking of getting a new breed? but I want them to be good layers, and reasonably friendly.
Any ideas?

I bet campbells and welsh harlequins would be your best bet but i'm sure saxony, silver appleyard, magpie, and ancona would all work too. What size are you looking for?

Medium to large birds, as I'd quite like variety as my pekins are very small haha

they only lay about 100 white eggs per year they come in 2 varieties (gold and silver) and the males are hen-feathered.
