I am upgrading my 5 pekin gals to a 8x8 shed and 8x8 outside run. I'm thinking of eventually adding a couple of larger chickens that lay a few more eggs or slightly larger eggs. I like the fluffy chicken look so I was thinking Orpington bantams or Brahma bantams. Are these much bigger than Pekin and would lay any better? I'm not looking for production frequency as I like fancy chickens but every other day would be nice. Also is there another fluffy breed that I could consider?

If you're thinking of standard Orps, they'll be MUCH bigger then your bantams. My Orps were good layers, when they weren't broody. Bantam Cochins are pretty small, so I'd go for lighter breeds like Leghorns. But, since you like fancy breeds I'm guessing they wont do. Here's something to consider though, ornamental breeds (Cochins, Polish, Silkies, ect) aren't known for their fabulous egg production. My Silkies are pretty good little layers considering what they are. They've been giving me about 3-5 eggs each a week, but they're really picking up now that the weathers warm and the days are longer.
My EEs were great layers, and in my opinion, their beards, muffs and colored eggs make them fancy. You could try to find some Legbars, they're crested and lay blue eggs. Marans lay gorgeous chocolate eggs and the french version have feathered legs. Good luck deciding :)
