Good Day, Bad Ending

DD had a 4-H demo day. She had a blast. The last thing for the day was paint ball. The kids went out on a former 4-H'ers families ranch. They were all having a blast.
Well the landowners kid suddenly shows up driving a loud jeep and blaring a siren. He had a bunch of his buddies with him they went driving around the kids shooting them with their paint ball guns. These guys are 18 and older the 4-H kids are all under 18!
The girls and boys had separated into different groups so the girls were closer to where the vehicles were parked.
DD had left the group before these guys showed and I was grateful for that!

One girl got shot in the face mask and at such close range she got a fat lip. Another girl got hit on the back of her neck as she was trying to get away. Another girl was hit on both her legs and had large welts. Another girl got hit on one leg and one arm.

The person in charge was able to stop these guys and they got mad at them!!! I was ready to grab a paint ball gun and go give them a taste of what they did to these 4 girls! I was MAD!!!

The boys fared better. The girls were all upset and done. They were having fun until these guys decided to butt in and cause trouble.

That is terrible! Sounds like perhaps the boys froze the paint balls too. Hope they see some sort of consequence for their actions. Seems rather disrespectful at the best.

I'm sure their parents are shaking their heads and saying "Boys will be boys." The same people that say "It was just a chicken."

The boys need to be charged with assault with a weapon at 18 they are old enoug to know not to shoot at people even if its pain balls (though soneone said they thought they had been frozen which even worse) they could have blinded that girl they hit in the face, as for the welts that is not funny that is assault!!!

After this we got to discussing on finding a different place for the paint ball group. The person in charge of the paint ball went to the kids folks and talked with them on what happened. Will have to find out what happened.

I was wondering if the paint balls had been frozen too. I was told those really hurt!

Oh the girl who was hit on the back of the neck, her father is in law enforcement. I'm pretty sure there was a phone call made last night.
