What kind? I would recommend getting better fencing around your coop, tall enough to keep out the coyotes and keep your lovely chickens safe.
Sorry to hear about your chickens. So you do not have any run/fence around your coop? If you only have a fence around your yard, you could put up sheep fencing or electric fencing.I've had a lot of coyotes come recently and absolutely destroy my coop to get to my chickens. RIP Jaquavion
yeah I have some guys coming to replace my fence with an electric one It's just hard since I live in the mountains
What you could also do, if you decide to do a closed run, is a predator guard. Which is a buried metal skirt around the enclosed coop and run so no critter can dig underneath. I have free range chickens but at night or if I want them locked up in the day for whatever reason they are protected.
