Mutts is my favorite breed
But if I have to choose, this local rare dual purpose breed from Venice called "Robusta Maculata" is really pretty!

In my experience theyāre super sweet and lay consistently.
The predators donāt get them as often either. Idk if thatās because theyāre small and less appetizing or theyāre just flighty so they escape easily.
And they look super cool!
Sadly theyāre well suited to warmer climates so where I live they donāt do as well as their more fluffy comrades during the winters
I think a certain leghorn enjoyer might have something to say about their name lol xDBelieve it or not, the Leghorn. I've had many and I called them all Miss Piggy.
I wish I could send some eggs! It's a rare Venetian breed with just a few hundreds individuals alive in the world, and it's so pretty it really deserve to be known outside of my country!Oooooo nice! Iāll take 5 of them - send as soon as you can!

I love them, and I really want one or two. Are their feathered legs much maintenance though?Brahmas. They are such beautiful breeds!Brahma chickens lay about 150-200 large, light brown eggs per year, and have a typical lifespan of 5 to 8 years with proper care. This is Dandelion, a 1 year old Buff Brahma hen.

YESSSSS! Thatās exactly what she does!!! That is too funny⦠Delawares⦠The Hugging Hens!!My Delawares hug me too! Theyāll get on my lap and peck at my shoulder until I lean down into them some and then they stretch their necks out over my shoulder and back. Theyāre so sweet![]()

I have an Easter Egger named Kelly.. she lays a green egg⦠she was my first ever chicken to lay an egg! She and two Australorps, Rosemary and Maryn, are my OGs from my first flock of hens⦠they will be 8 years old on March 1st! She is still laying eggs regularly!!!I also vote for EEs. We have two green eggers who lay as regularly as our white leghorns.
