In my experience they’re super sweet and lay consistently.
The predators don’t get them as often either. Idk if that’s because they’re small and less appetizing or they’re just flighty so they escape easily.
And they look super cool!

Sadly they’re well suited to warmer climates so where I live they don’t do as well as their more fluffy comrades during the winters

I have the same problem with some of my chooks, some IR panels help a lot.

Oooooo nice! I’ll take 5 of them - send as soon as you can!

😉😁
I wish I could send some eggs! It's a rare Venetian breed with just a few hundreds individuals alive in the world, and it's so pretty it really deserve to be known outside of my country!
If you're interested in rare native breeds from venice, I made this thread some time ago. Some photos are gone but I can't edit it to fix them anymore!

Brahmas. They are such beautiful breeds! 🐔 Brahma chickens lay about 150-200 large, light brown eggs per year, and have a typical lifespan of 5 to 8 years with proper care. This is Dandelion, a 1 year old Buff Brahma hen.

I love them, and I really want one or two. Are their feathered legs much maintenance though?

My Delawares hug me too! They’ll get on my lap and peck at my shoulder until I lean down into them some and then they stretch their necks out over my shoulder and back. They’re so sweet 🥹
YESSSSS! That’s exactly what she does!!! That is too funny… Delawares… The Hugging Hens!! ❤️❤️❤️

Theyre pretty alright. I can't do chickens anymore. 😪 I did Delawares at one time. Sweet birds. :)
