Good Egg Incubators?

I have a budget of 100$ and I need an egg incubator. I tried raising eggs with out one and no good. So I need a good, incubator that will last. I try to look for some but it tends to be the same thing, half say it works perfect, the other half says it's garbage.

Any ideas?

I'd recommend building one.. even if it's just big enough for one egg turner. .
Buy a egg turner. .46.00
Buy a temp controller 16.00
Buy a fan 14.00
Buy light sockets 20.00..
All you need is a box then.. cooler or type...

I know that seems crazy..
I've got 3 incubators. .little giant, hova bator, farm inovater. . And they work for awhile. .then you end up throwing away the components maybe keeping fan... and buying the above items anyway.. rebuilding them..

Just my 2 cents... not knocking anybody.. just they make them so cheap.. and most only incubate once in awhile. . So they they just don't make them to last..

I would say out of those 3 hovabator is the best insulated. .
Stay away from the cheap little giant 9300 still air.. it's only 50.00 I know. .but you get what you pay for..

I've never had the expensive brinsea. .

I don't know any in the $100 range...I haven't bought those.
I bought a "BROWER TOP HATCH" from the Co-op for about $200 (Canadian) about 10 years ago
Problem was regulating the temperature and the humidity.
The hatch rate wasn't great & I only used it the first year.

Packed it away & decided to try it again after 8 years.
Found out the Brower had a Recall for the bottom component.
They shipped quickly & even paid for shipping to Ontario.

New unit also had problems regulating the heat.
I had bator FULL of eggs & FREAKED out!
I went onliine & ordered the HOVABATOR GENISIS
( bought unit, auto egg turner & extra tray. $250 Canadian )
It arrived the NEXT DAY!!!!

Meanwhile BROWER sent me a New electrical panel.
Temperature "seems" Moderately better but NOT the Humidity.
Once the eggs hatched & the chicks were no longer wet, I moved them to the Brower.
The Brower was Perfect as a BROODER drying station.

My hatch rate with the Hovabator was GREAT!
30 viable eggs went IN & 20 chicks hatched OUT
I'm Totally HAPPY with Both units now.

xs 2 on the staying away from the Little giants digital styros when possible. I myself use an old Little Giant 9200 and have awesome hatches-but they are more work with monitoring and adjusting.

You can build one as mentioned. Many people have great hatches in their DIY bators. There are many threads on here with ideas too.

If you are able to turn by hand 3xs a day, you can save yourself the cost of a turner. I have a turner, but prefer to hand turn.

I would suggest looking at the Hovabator lines. You can't expect to get a nice digital with temp control for $100 or less, but Hovabators do have other models such as the 1602N that many people use and recommend. Mostly they are still air and self turn- much like the older LGs like I use. Mine has the fan kit installed though.
