Good egg layers and good setters?

I was just wondering what chickens will lay good and that will go broody? I already have buff orpingtons & amerucaas so any other chickens that lay and set good i would like to know.

Are your Ameraucanas true/purebred, or are they hatchery/feedstore Easter Eggers? Because chances are they're Easter Eggers, who I'll warn you now are not broody at all.

True Ameraucanas are good egglayers and broody, true Araucanas are even better. My girls will brood at least 3 times a year, and if they're not brooding or taking care of chicks, they're spitting out blue eggs.

Some other good egglayers/broody hens are American Gamefowl.

Also, most non-hatchery stock breeds are far more broody than hatchery stock. (Hatcheries breed it out) So even Wyandottes, true Rhode Island Reds, and Orpingtons that are not poor quality are more likely to set eggs.

The amerucana is from the hatchery, and so are the buffs.
