good egglaying breeds with good tempers?

i have 4 chickens including the roo,one died this winter

so i want to get a couple new ones this spring.I want a decent-good egglayer that isnt super flighty or aggressive.Any suggestions?Also i was wondering how cochins do on the egglaying because they are so cute,but i wont buy a chicken that cant lay very good.

Cochins tend to lay good size eggs but not so frequently.
I recommend you look for the general guidelines on some of the breed selection charts. I really like ALBC
