Today we put in hardware cloth into our chicken coop windows since it is starting to get warm. I'll attach pictures of the cloth on the windows to make sure we did it right. What we had on there was just chicken wire so the hardware cloth did end up just being put on top of it. On our main front window we put two layers of cloth and on our side of the coop we put one and a half on there. I just want to make sure it is put on properly. We put them in with screws that had biggish washers on them to hold them in place. We had only chicken wire on the Coop's windows all summer and had no break ins. This is just an added precaution because I have heard stories of sudden break ins.
