Hey guys!
First time chicken mom here and boy do I have a lot of questions for you all.
I'm currently in the "hover mode" of chick life, and I'm terrified to sleep for fear that something will happen to my babies while I'm out.

Do you have your chickens in a predator proof coop?

I most certainly do!
I have four dogs, one is a dachshund that is waiting for me to sleep so she is able to snack (she has been grounded and is upstairs with my wife). One is a Doberman who's a loveable goofball but doesn't understand that she is not able to play with the chicks (also upstairs with my wife). The other dog doesn't care about them at all. My wife and I currently have heavy duty chicken wire over the top of the brooder box to deter the troublemakers from the chicks.

Luckily, I have an Australian Husky who is in full on "Dad Mode" and is on chick watch for me. He's currently keeping all the dogs away from the brooder and is refusing to move from the box.
