Good morning

I have a week old mallard duckling. It's mother, our pet duck Maggie, has abandoned her. We started taking care of the duckling since yesterday. Today we woke up to find her legs splayed and she is barely able to hobble about. Niacin deficiency suspected. Shops are not open today as it is Sunday. Any recommendations of duckling safe foods to give until I can get a supplement?

Some food items rich in Niacin that ducks can eat are:
Eggs- scrambled , or hard boiled and fine chopped
Some live fish - a little goldfish or a little guppy.
Some cat food, or Koi food, some cooked poultry.
Ect.

Thanks I will give those a try.

Tomorrow, when everythings open, pick up brewers yeast to add to the ducklings food. Hopefully you'll see progress once adding niacin!
