Good for housing goats?

I'm 75% sure the horned one is pregnant so that's fun (and scary). Didn't know until I went to pick them up and she informed me they had been living with a buck all year (the polled one's son).

What makes you think only one of the two is pregnant?

Also a caution on breeding polled goats together, not that you have any say with this bunch, hornless goats bred to hornless goats tend to produce a high percentage of intersex, hermaphrodites, and other weird male/female/both/neither mutants. There’s no issue in cattle but for some reason goats have issues.

Wishful thinkng? No, just kidding. Maggie has gone through heat twice, 19 days apart, since I got her. Am I wrong in assuming that means she's not pregnant?

Thank you! I actually did know that. Maggie is polled. Her son was polled. I really really hope she's not pregnant because I feel it was very irresponsible of the last owner to allow her son, intact, to stay with her and Daisy.

That sounds like a pretty good reason to assume she is not pregnant.

One of my goats who was disbudded got his head stuck between the bars of a hay feeder and we had to cut a metal bar in order to get him out. Goats will find a way!

My vet told me that while sheep (and other animals) will blunder into trouble, goats seek it out.

Looks awesome! I have to admit I'm a bit jealous of that fantastic pasture with the high fencing!

I'm a bit jealous that they "found another much larger enclosure on my property".
Next mild day I'm gonna look around mine and see if I can find one. I'd be awesome if I did.

Don't be too jealous! Everything was so overgrown you couldn't see any of the fencing or housing until we started clearing the land. It's a lot of work! Trash piles everywhere. I think I'll reuse the tires we've found everywhere as a jungle gym for the goats.
