Good heat tolerant broody hens??

Mornin all!
DH and I incubated and hatched 18 chicks in May. Out of the 18, 15 are left. 7 Barred Rocks and 8 EEers. 6 of those barred rocks are Roos. ‍ We aren’t sure about the EEers yet.
We will be getting rid of 5 of the Roos. But we do want to add some chicks. Because of the gross outnumbering of Roos of the Barred rocks, we want to get sexed chicks this time.
SO! Here’s where I’m looking for suggestions. We want hens that will go broody. We have kids, so friendly birds is a must. And we live in SC so they have to be heat tolerant. (Which rules out the buff orphingtons I covet) He’s partial to game hens, as he had one he loved when he was younger, but it’s almost impossible to find them sexed as chicks.
Suggestions please!

You can try Australorps. They are friendly and heat resistant and do go broody. Mine sure did!

Can't go wrong with games. They are the friendliest to their people. Live a long time. Heat tolerant. Hens with chicks can be a bit testy. Cackle sells some fairly decent hatchery facsimiles of game chickens, don't know if they do sexed or not. They are pricey, but that is the case with most games anyway, they can't be mass produced in a commercial setting, even though they will mass produce in a home setting.

As it turns out, Wyandotte’s and Orpingtons were both on my list and our TSC has them both already sexed. Yay for saving $20+ on shipping.
