Okay..........I've finally gotten all my chickens! HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!

Here's what I have...........
1. A BEAUTIFUL "young trio" (2 pullets and a roo) of Light Sussex, from Greenfire Farms (Thank you, Paul!!!!!)
2. 2 young Silkie pullets (1 lavendar & 1 white)
3. 2 Black Copper Marans pullets
4. 2 true Ameraucanas (1 blue & 1 splash)............all from "AHappyChick"........thank you Susan!!!!!!

That's 8 pullets and 1 roo......................................

Is that ratio okay??? (I have a 6' x 6' coop, an 18'x 26' "fort-knox" run, and 3+ acres of free range.)

I am soooooooooo in love with them all, already!!!
The Silkies and the Sussex are so 'snuggly'...............and I'm working on the rest concerning their 'snuggly-ness' as well!
Today they moved from a very large 'kiddie pool' in the back bedroom............to the coop.

I agree with B. Saffles. I now have 14 hens and a roo. On fertility checks my roo is managing 12 fertilizations out of every 14 eggs. Good luck with your new chooks.
