I suddenly got the impulse to make an incubator and raise chicks, only thing is, is this a good time or should I wait till the spring? If I get chicks in a month or so in the middle of winter will the chicks have a hard time adjusting to the temps, should I just wait??? What do you think??

I have eggs pipping right now!!! You will of course have to keep them protected from the elements until they are fully feathered, and even "feathered out" teenage chicks seem to lack sufficient down for cold winter nights. If you have a setup to keep them warm and dry, they'll be fine!
