oh the little devils, i was playing with them as a hobby, and ended up with about 250 at max.

We are up to four right now. I am always so afraid I will kill such tiny things, lol. So far so good though. They are so feisty! I wonder what colors they will be.

Funny you should say that, lol.

It has been so many years since I had quail...I forgot they jump! I opened the box on the adult when I got him...he leaped straight up and was running around my livingroom. I almost died, lol. my poor brain and its forgetfulness. hehe

I had plain old bobwhites all those year ago. I am not up to par on the quail breeds. These are supposed to be jumbos but they are so tiny, lol. I don't have anything to compare them to, to know if they are regular sized or jumbos. Weighing them is out of the question, LOL.


I cannot wait for pickled eggs and bacon wrapped quail. Hubby is excited!
