I am brand-new here as a member but have been reading for a while. I'm Meg and I live in Buffalo with my husband, our three-year-old daughter & two-year-old son, and a dog & a cat.
We don't have chickens yet, but I've finally got my husband on board. Or rather - his sister finally got him on board, by going out one day & coming home with three chicks. I told him we've been discussing it long enough, when other people impulse-buy them!
We just bought a house here in the city with a nice yard, and now we're planning our garden and everything else for next year. Part of that, of course, is figuring out where we're going to put the coop.
I'm looking forward to reading more here, and learning as I go along from all the experienced folks on this site. I'd also love to find other chicken people in Western New York, so if you're reading this & you're in my area, drop me a line!
