So I have been a member at BYC since late '08, but life being what it is was unable to get chickens until now. Pretty much everything I know about chickens has been learned from this site... Except fried chicken and eggs, I already knew about those things. I used designs from this site to make my coop, I have learned about predators and used yall as subject matter expertsl to get me wife on board with the concept of raising chickens. I will have chickens in about 4 more weeks, my nest box is still in the concept stage and I get paid every 2 weeks. Not sure what else to tell yall about me. I have 2 little ones 7 and 4, girl and boy. I have a wife and a dog. My name is Will.

Hi Will, I also live in Dayton. I just got my chickens about a month ago and now looking for some more. I just moved out to Dayton in April. If you come across anyone with Welsummer or Black Copper Marans let me know.

Hi Randy & Will, I'm Claire. I live in Kenefick Texas. I am a relatively new comer to BYC. I have Black Copper Marans, Easter eggers and Buff Brahmas. I think I may have several BB roos. They should start laying in the next month or so. I also have Pappa and the girls, he's a lavender orpington, and his girls are RIR, white leghorns and red stars. I love the red stars, they are so loveable. Anyway, we just moved here from LaPorte last July. I absolutely love it here, I have my chickens and my hubby has his 61 Impala.
