My name is Carl and I live in Folkston, Georgia. Folkston is about 40 miles north of Jacksonville, FL. My wife and three teenage children have decided we are going to increase our family by adding some backyard chickens. We are new at this. Well, new again. My wife and I both had chickens growing up, but we have never had them with our family. Everyone is excited, well as excited as a 14-year-old teenager girl gets around her family.

I am loving this site. There is so much useful information. We have a few chicks already from the local feed store, but have ordered some from McMurray Hatchery for delivery in mid April. We were in the feed store to buy some feed and things we need for the new babies when CHICKEN MATH struck. Now we are going to have chicks that are 4 weeks old when our new babies come from McMurray. Great....two sets.

OOoooooh! Lucky! I have been to the Okeefenokee once about 5 years ago and I think that is about the coolest place on earth!
