Some may know his eyes won't open and we have been feeing him four times a day.
But this is now the sixth or seventh day that he won't open his eyes.
I have done everything suggested, and we are using the neosporin two times a day. There is no swelling and no marks around his eyes or eyelids. There were three little brown dots but they seem to have scaled and fallen off. I don't believe them to be mites because I could find no mites or signs and they did not move.
But my question is how long before the neosporin works? This is the third day.
Yesterday I noticed something thick, yellow and rather gross seeping out of his one eye.
BUT the good part is he really seems to be doing better. He got up yesterday and today and is standing in with this hens, tail feather up and yesterday he was caught preening himself. So this is good.
I just would like to know what to except for his eyes.
Thank you for your help. It is so nice to know someone out there knows more about chickens than we clearly do!
Have a grand day.
