Hello all! We are a family of three (with a 10yr old) and we decided to get birds this past spring. Well, we ended up with 4 chickens and a duck. Through all of our adventures building a coop and a run and raising our birds, I've been doing a lot of lurking on this site. So, I've decided to join up proper!

Unfortunately, a drowning incident and a recent dog attack have left our flock with one duck. His name is Dick and he's currently recuperating inside our house(stinky bird! ). However, in the spring, we hope to get some more friends for him-probably more khakis like he is. Poor guy thinks he's a chicken.

Other hobbies for the family include all things computer, cooking, hiking, and crafting.
