Hi everyone!!
Im Dave,
Our family is new to the Chicken world, we just got our chicks yesterday!
they are adorable!! We have: 2 Road island reds, 2 Plymouth Rocks, and one Ameraucana, I hope they mesh well, we wanted to get Orpingtons but they didn't have any, when doing research they said Orpingtons are great starter chickens to use, but its ok, I feel optimistic, about these little ones =o)
I hope i don't bombard every one with questions, we are new to this, and we really want to make sure we do things right. I'm look forward to getting to know more about everyone and more about chickens!
have a great day!
- Dave

P.S. the pic im using is our little ones,
their names are
Road island reds: Parallel (my 7 year old named this one , because its a "Unique name and it sounds pretty " lol the other one is named Peeper Pots
the Plymouths are named Spike and Peeper La Pew
and the Amerucana is named Blue (name pending)

I'm glad you joined our "flock".

Good luck with your new chicks! I think that all the breeds will get along fine together, though Rhode Island Reds can sometimes be a little aggressive. If they are raised together, you shouldn't have any problems.
