We love Backyard Poultry- lots of great info. and once I entered a picture of my daughter with our chicks, and a few months later they sent me a magazine with a letter that said turn to pg. 41, and there she was! I framed it on our wall. Our friends think it's funny to say " WEll you know you've made it big when your picture is in Backyard Poultry Magazine!" ha ha

Thanks for all the help. I picked up a copy at my local TSC store and it seems to be what I am looking for.

Backyard Poultry is probably my favorite however Practical Poultry is decent although it does concentrate on many things from England where the magazine is published. Poultry Press has quite a few decent articles and is a good source for finding breeders. Also Hobby Farms runs quite a few poultry related articles.

I like Backyard Poultry but also am a fan of Countryside, Grit, Mother Earth News and Hobby Farms. They are all available at TSC and subscriptions are fairly inexpensive.

My problem is getting the time to read.

Has anyone found a way to extend the day just a little?
