Good read here boys

Instead of saying "pasty butt" can I just say "he/her came down with a case of the shits"? I cant stop laughing at that as im typing it lol
It is always best to be as clear as possible about your livestock's condition if you are seeking help or guidance from others, otherwise you may be steered in the wrong direction.

Well, they are not the same thing. Pasty butt, or sticky bottom if you prefer, occurs when soft droppings stick to a chick’s vent, then harden and seal the vent shut. It is pretty easy to treat and recovery is fast. Diarrhea, on the other hand, can be very serious and dehydrate the chick, causing other complications and possibly a life threatening situation.

I usually don't get hung up on the use of words, but using "accepted" terminology is more accurate and zeroes in on the proper treatment.
