Good Snake *pics*?

First time chicken owner here (new to snakes, too!

), and we'll be putting the chickens in their new backyard coop in the next couple of days. I spotted my first snake in the backyard; he's a baby, about 12 inches. I know I'll be needing him in the future if he's one of the good guys, but I don't know what type he is - is he a good guy?

yes, it's a red corn snake. good at keeping rodents at bay. very beautiful too. not venemous. they do get big enough to eat a juvenile chicken though.
