Hello was wondering if the yellow thermometer by brinsea that is +-.2 degrees actually works. I'm tired of cruddy thermometers like the springfield digital, and don't get me started on the one that comes with the LG I wouldn't trust that to tell the temp out side.

My sister and I have successfully used the Hydro-Thermometer Clock for several hatches. At about $15 a piece, it makes a great great holiday stocking stuffer

I bought the Spot check one how do those work for the air temp or do they need to be in like a water wiggler?

No Water Wiggler needed. I just placed it on one inch Styrofoam in an Air Forced Hovabator onto height of eggs. I added water as needed. It read Humidity each day. Hatched some nice chicks, so worked for me. It also has an alarm that you can set. I never needed to use that feature.

yes!!! I have the brinsea spot check thermometer, and it works great. as mentioned by urbanhatch, just hang it in through one of the vent holes by the eggs. I leave mine hanging in there so it is already at the temp inside the incubator when i want to check i just turn it on

Mine is in the mail I can't wait to get it to see if my other thermometers are wrong hope there not. Does it read the temp immediatly on the spt check or do you have to wait?
