If you are taking the brinsea from room temp to incubator it will take a minute or 2 to get up to the temp in there. The probe has to warm up to temp in incubator. Thats why I usually leave mine hanging in there so it is warmed to the temp, and then turn it on when i want to make a spot check and it instantly tells me the temp.
