Sorry, at least she had a happy ending. I just took in a 6yr old roo, he was replaced by a younger roo who tore his tail feathers out and beat up his comb. I took him in, and named him George. He will have a happy retirement in dignity, and that is all we can give them! You did well!! {George is getting his tail feathers back!}

...those broilers will break your heart every tme... pulmonary and cardiac problems are very common when you try to keep them as pets... sooo sorry :aww

I'm so sad for you :aww That must have been such a hard thing to do. You are a very strong person. Maybe giving your other chickens lots of extra love and attention will help ease the hurt.
