Today I took Potpie to the vet to be euthanized. Two days ago I went out and found her in a bare spot where she must have been spinning all day trying to get up. She could no longer use her legs. I think she must have had a stroke as her comb had turned purple.
I brought her inside, bathed her and rubbed some color back into her comb and she readily drank some water but would not eat, then later that night she stopped drinking. She refuse to eat or drink yesterday so we made the decision to help her go to a better place.
Potpie was one of the 8 'broilers' that came to us on Jan 10th and of thoat group only Bob, Himmler and Cheeto are left.

I am so sorry. It is really hard to see a loved one in pain. You cared enough to do what was best for HER.
