Goodybye, Pigeon

Ah, I see. :hugs Don't beat yourself up about it. Chickens can be quite determined when they're trying to get into something unsafe.

Do you know how they're getting in? Is there any way to fix it? My girls kept getting into our dog yard and finally one of them got roughed up by the dogs. We ended up replacing the weak old fence (which barely kept the dogs in, let alone the hens out) with 6-foot tall welded wire with a 2-foot skirt on the inside. No more issues.

We aren't sure, yet, but I will definitely be keeping two eyes out for how.

.... I know how it feels to lose a beloved pet to another pet. Hopefully you will be able to get a designated safe pen for your chooks.
