Gooey, runny eye on baby chick?!

We just ordered new baby chicks that are 4 days old. I noticed that she'd have her right eye closed all the time but I left it alone until it started getting watery and swollen. I've been taking care of it by wiping it with a warm cloth and applying neosporin on it daily but I don't know if I should do more? She's happy and well, she eats, drinks, chirps, and all. I think the others pecked at her because she has a raw spot on her back (and her eye) so I have her in a separate box to give it a chance to heal.

Sounds like your correct. Probably was pecked by another chick. Keep it separated till it heals, they love to peck at anything red or shiny.

Yeah, the red heat lamp should hide it a bit. I think i'll stick to the separate cage though. Do I do anything else with the eye? Medications or anything? Thank

Just keep an eye on it for any infections. Shouldn't be any problems with putting Neosporin on it.
