Crowing
Okay, so not sure on what to call this. Second time this gooey slim has happened, and even prior had a shell-less egg. Photo of the eggs are what was in nest with the slim. It's not quite squished yolk/egg, but not quite sure what it is.
Background: five 22week black Australorp, so far three we know for sure have been laying every other day since 18/19 weeks. Flock mates include three younger BAs(18 weeks but they are not red nor as big as their older BAs), 4 each of Olive Eggers(14wk), Light Brahmas(16), Buff Orpingtons(13).
Nest boxes- crates with clover hay(from our farm)
Feed: Dumor Starer/grower, do plan on leaving them on this as they are in a large covered run but not free ranged. Four containers of feed free all day, 4 buckets waterers with sled with water(maybe inch or so with ice bricks for heat-brahmas use it most)
Treats- kale and cabbage, at times frozen cucumber, watermelon, blueberries (maybe once a week), scratch, handful maybe once a week. (Their main treat is wet mash food)
Dish of oyster pellets and grit. Trying to find flakes, have ground up the pellets/chunks and eggshells.
