I'm not certain how the color will come out, but thems gonna be some big 'ol birds!

I have a question, where and how did you get your hands on a coronation sussex?!

Not a dumb question. The person wants a bird that has yellow skin. The person is attempting to produce a lavender delaware and delaware have yellow skin.

Should not take more than a few generations to get the coronation plumage in a delaware.

Cross 1

Sussex roo over delaware hen = barred males and non-barred females all will have white skin.

Cross #2

Cross barred male offspring with non barred female offspring= 1/2 barred offspring and 1/2 non-barred offspring, one in four will be lavender and one in four will have yellow skin.

1 in 32 will be the bird you want.

What you do next depends on the characteristics found in the chicks you hatch.

The first two crosses are pretty easy but the third cross I will hopefully have a barred lavender male and female with yellow skin and hopefully yellow legs. Will these breed pretty true?

Yellow skin to yellow skin will breed true, lavender to lavender will breed true; The offspring will only carry one barring gene, the female is not a problem. The males that carry one barring gene can produce females that do not carry a barring gene.
