My goose looks like a hot mess (African gal). I know they get tired when they molt but I'm wondering the likelihood of their immune systems weakening. I've read it's possible. The last time my goose went through a molt her voice/breathing ended up sounding off. I brought her to the vet and they treated her for a respiratory infection. This time around she's sounding off again. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

It didn't happen during her first molt. The last molt her breathing was loud enough where I could hear it 10 feet from her sometimes. And she'd exhale loudly through her mouth while eating or dunking her head, something she doesn't usually do. Her honk was also off sounding and sometimes weak. I spend a lot of up close and personal time with her (she's very hands on with me) so I notice slight changes easily. I'm giving her vetrx respiratory supplement and vitamins as a precaution. I think I'm gonna make it a regular thing when the girls molt (I have a flock of ducks and 1 goose) to give them vitamins during their molt.
