Does anyone sell their goose eggs to people who want to buy them to eat them? If so, how much do you sell your goose eggs for?

The prices $1 each or $10/doz is common here in NC. There is not a great demand, many freak out at the size and the problem of converting recipies to use them in place of chicken or even duck eggs.

I have had several people contact me about buying goose eggs but never knew the going rate for goose eggs.

If you are willing, try for a dollar per egg, it gives you a place to start dealing from. If you really want more, start higher! Duck and goose eggs are usually a Dealer's market since the supply is so seasonal.

I will take your suggestion and shoot for a dollar per egg.

Your welcome, I sort of think the number of people with experience with selling waterfowl eggs for eating is limited on this board.

I found a place 'way up in the Northern part of the Bay selling them for $1 each, I'm in the far South part of Santa Clara County, and will put mine on Craig's List for $1 each.

I sold organic freerange duck eggs for $7 a doz last summer, this summer I'm going to try for $8 (you can't find organic duck eggs anywhere around, and the non-organic are going for $3.50 a half dozen, if you can even find those!)... I only have one goose egg so far, but our farmers market sells them for $1 or $1.50 each... i think it's $1.50....
