Goose eggs is talking to me I have a ?

Ok i know he is in the air sack already. They werent due to hatch until this weekend. My ? is I heard him yesterday and I am wondering how long it takes for them to put a hole in the shell? It has been 24 hours already. I don't want him to die in the egg.

I had the same problem last week and everyone said just leave him....Mine started talking to me on Sunday pipped on Tuesday hatched on Thursday...I did have to help a little on Thursday but all is well now.

I thought geese took like, 48 hours or more to hatch...I would leave him be for now.

Yes, geese can take longer to zip out ... thats what i remember hearing...

They can take 3 days from external pip to hatch, plus they can be pipped internally for 1-2 days before pipping the shell. So be patient, sit on your hands, and it will happen
