First of all, I am sorry for your loss! I am glad and impressed that you still have eggs this late in the season! What you'll want to do is turn the eggs for the chicken since they're too big for a chicken to turn. Also, a good spritzing of water once a day would be a good idea to make sure they get enough moisture. Other than that, all you can do is wait.

Thank you for your advice, i will try all you say, i had an idea that they would have to wet them a little and the hens do turn them anyway, but they are only half size chickens and the eggs are very large, i am hoping that i get some out as my goosie was a lovely girl and the Gander i had i only had a short time. i will let you know how things go, the hens have only been sitting on them for 4 days so they have a long way to go.

I look forward to hearing from you! If any hatch, be sure to take pictures. I'd love to see them!

If your hens are large and you do not have to many eggs under them they will hatch them out no problems, i use broodys to hatch out all kinds of fowl here geese included.
the one thing i recommend is keeping an eye on the babies when they start hatching to make sure the broodies don't decide to peck at them, it happens here once in a while mainly when the broodies are together nesting so i just pull babies as they hatch and put them in the brooder

Good luck with your hatch, sorry you lost the big geese that is just heart breaking to hear

Hi,all, I am waiting with baited breath to see what happens with my eggs, I want to do the float test but am not sure how? they have two weeks to go and i am getting concernd that they maybe no good, the hens are very protective of them so i am hoping that is a good sign. I had a hen sitting on 4 hen eggs and when one chick hatched the hen left the nets after 24hours, i took those eggs and had to crack them open and they were no good, so if these eggs are no good will the hens leave them? I am just new at this and needall the help i can get, thanks guys,

Hi, I am sorry thsat i have not got back to anyone that answered my call, i am still waiting, today i had a stethascope on the eggs and they sounded like their was some movement, but i will candle test tonight and see if their is anything in there, it has been a long time now and i thin they should be out, the hens are still sitting, it has been at least 30 days now and they should be ou, but i will wait another week but that is all as it is not fair on the hens eitherany advice on that,
i must tell you all that i am in Australia and our season is very differant to US or Canada, but it is still lat in the season.
