Here it is the first part of February, temps still cold with snow cover and nighttime temps down to almost zero some nights. My Giant African geese have started laying already. At least one has started laying in a box in the coop , and sets at night, but gets up and ranges during the day. Anybody know if the eggs may stay hatchable since she gets up during the day ? Should I pull the eggs until temps moderate ?

She's already sitting too? Wow, I know lots of geese are starting to lay around now, but I didn't know any of them would try sitting this early.

However, my suggestion would be to post this in the Geese forum right here. It's a fairly active forum, and several goose owners visit there, and could probably answer your question better than I could. But if it were me, I'd pick them up for now.
